Maher PDF

Merge PDF files into one document

Merge PDF joins two or more PDF files into a single document. It is useful when a report arrives in pieces, when you need to send one attachment instead of five, or when an application asks for all your supporting documents in a single file.

Choose PDF files to merge Accepts: PDF files, two or more. Free, no sign-up.

Your files are processed inside this browser tab and are not uploaded to Maher PDF. Please read the Privacy Policy before working with sensitive documents.

This tool merges in two stages. First you put the files in order and combine them. Then every page of the combined document is shown as a thumbnail, so you can drag pages around, rotate a sideways scan, or drop a blank page before you save. Pages are copied as they are, so text stays selectable and image quality is not reduced.

How to use Merge PDF

  1. Tap Choose PDF files to merge above, then pick your files. You can tap the drop area again to add more files later; the ones you already chose stay in the list.
  2. Drag the file thumbnails into the order you want them to appear.
  3. Tap Combine. The files are joined and every page appears as a thumbnail.
  4. Review the pages. Drag to reorder, use the rotate buttons on any page that is sideways, and remove pages you don't need.
  5. Tap Save merged PDF. The finished file downloads to your device.

Key features

  • Combine any number of PDFs, limited only by your device's memory.
  • Page-level review after merging: reorder, rotate, or delete individual pages.
  • Original page content is copied, not re-rendered, so text stays searchable and sharp.
  • Works on Android, iPhone, tablets, and computers in a normal web browser.

Supported files

Input: standard PDF files. Output: one PDF file. Password-protected PDFs need to be unlocked first with Unlock PDF, because their pages can't be read without the password.

Privacy and security

The files are read and combined by JavaScript running in this browser tab. Nothing is sent to a Maher PDF server, and the merged file only exists on your device once you save it.

Common problems

One of my files won't merge.
The most common cause is a password. If a PDF asks for a password when you open it, unlock it first. Badly damaged files can also fail; try Repair PDF on that file and merge the repaired copy.
The merged file is very large.
Merging keeps every page at its original quality, so the result is roughly the size of all inputs added together. If you need a smaller file for email, run the result through Compress PDF.
My phone becomes slow with many files.
Everything happens on your device, so very large batches use a lot of memory. Merge in smaller groups, then merge the groups together.

Tips

  • Name your files with a number prefix (01-cover, 02-report) before choosing them; it makes ordering quicker.
  • If a scanned page is upside down, fix it in the review step instead of running a separate rotate tool.
  • Keep the original files until you've opened the merged PDF and checked it.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?

There is no fixed limit. The practical limit is your device's memory, because all processing happens locally.

Will merging reduce the quality of my pages?

No. Pages are copied into the new document without being converted to images, so text, vector drawings, and images keep their original quality.

Can I merge PDFs on my phone?

Yes. Open this page in Chrome, Samsung Internet, Safari, or another current browser and choose files from your phone's storage or cloud apps.
