Cookie Policy
This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage used on maherpdf.com, and how to control them.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and caches used by service workers. They let a site remember information between visits or deliver features such as advertising.
Cookies set by Maher PDF
Maher PDF itself does not set cookies to track you, and it does not run its own analytics.
Service worker cache
To load quickly and work offline, the site registers a service worker that stores a copy of the website's code and pages in your browser. This cache contains the website only, never the documents you process. It is required for offline use and the installable app.
Advertising cookies (Google AdSense)
Google AdSense, which serves the ads on this site, uses cookies and similar identifiers to deliver ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and, where you have allowed it, show ads based on your interests. These cookies are set by Google and its partners, not by Maher PDF. Where the law requires consent, for example in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, Google's consent message asks for your choice before personalised ads are shown.
You can manage personalised ads at Google Ads Settings, and read how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
OCR downloads
When you use OCR, your browser downloads the recognition engine from public servers and may cache it so it doesn't need downloading again. This is a file cache, not a tracking cookie.
Contact form
Submitting the contact form sends your message through Netlify Forms, which may use cookies or similar measures for spam protection.
How to control cookies
- Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies, or to clear all site data for maherpdf.com (this also removes the offline copy of the site).
- Use Google's ad settings to turn off personalised ads.
- Blocking advertising cookies doesn't stop the PDF tools from working.
Changes and contact
We'll update this page if the way the site uses cookies changes. Questions: info@maherpdf.com.
