Accuracy of results
File conversions, OCR, and other processing are automated. Converting between formats such as PDF, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint can change layout, fonts, and structure, and OCR can misread characters, especially in faint or skewed scans. Always compare results with the original before using them, and check figures, names, dates, and totals carefully.
Security features
Protect PDF applies standard PDF encryption. Its effectiveness depends on the password you choose and on how you share the file. Watermarks, whiteout, and cropping are visual changes; they do not reliably remove information from a file and are not a substitute for professional redaction. See the PDF security guide.
Legal and official documents
Signatures added with Edit PDF are images placed on the page, not certificate-based digital signatures. Whether an edited or signed document is acceptable for a legal, financial, or official purpose depends on the rules of the organisation receiving it. Maher PDF does not provide legal advice.
